Cakey Pig

Monkhouse were from Bangor, Co.Down in Northern Ireland named after the legendary Bob Monkhouse whose dedication to showbiz had, in many ways, influenced them. A great raw, good old fashioned punk band, the lead singer Keith, would be off the stage as much as he was on it.

Described by the band in 1995 as ‘What punk should be / powerful. energetic but always clever’ ‘an absolute stormer of a band’ angry’ and ‘casually dressed’!

We did two singles and an album produced by Frankie Stubbs of Leatherface and sadly nobody took a blind bit of notice at all. Still we really liked them, a good bunch.
